MOJÁCAR COUNCIL FINALISES PREPARATIONS OF THE CEMETERY FOR ALL SAINTS' DAY
As it does every year at around this time, Mojácar Council is carrying out the preparations and improvements at the municipal cemetery for the upcoming celebration of All Saints' Day (1st of November 1st) and All Souls' Day (2nd of November).
For several weeks, municipal workers have been working on painting curbs, benches, and chapels, as well as cleaning and maintaining the gardens and common areas, so that the cemetery will look at its best during these days of special significance for the families of Mojácar.
The Mayor of Mojácar, Francisco García Cerdá, highlighted the importance of this work and the Local Council's commitment to the upkeep of public spaces:“The municipal cemetery is a place of great emotional value for all the people of Mojácar. Every year we make a special effort to ensure it is in perfect condition, not only out of respect for those who rest there, but also for the families who visit with affection and reverence at this time of year. This effort is part of our commitment to a well-cared-for, clean municipality which is close to its people,” the Mayor emphasized
In addition, the Local Council has reinforced gardening, cleaning, and access checking efforts to guarantee a well-kept, accessible, and safe environment, especially given the expected increase in visitors over the weekend.
Mass Schedule
On the occasion of these festivities, Mass will be celebrated in the Mojácar Church on Saturday, 1st of November at 11am for the Solemnity of All Saints, at the cemetery on Sunday, 2nd of November 2nd at 11am for the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, and on Monday, 3rd of November at 11am in the parish church, in English.
