Vigente.
Mojácar municipality is preparing for one of the best-loved moments of Christmas: the inauguration and blessing of the Municipal Nativity Scene, which will take place this Sunday 7th of December at 12pm in Plaza Parterre.
The opening ceremony will mark the official start of the Christmas season in the municipality. Those going along will be able to enjoy the traditional municipal nativity scene, a magical living nativity scene, and a tasting of hot chocolate and Christmas sweet treats, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors.
Mojácar Council reminds everyone that access to the village will be fully guaranteed throughout the whole Christmas period, with several amenities to ensure residents and tourists can easily enjoy the programme:
- Free parking available every day of the festivities for those coming by car.
- Functioning lift to easily access the old town, offering a comfortable and accessible route.
- Public transport operating normally throughout the festivities, enabling travel from various points in the municipality.
These measures aim to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both residents and those who visit Mojácar at this special time of year.
The Local Council invites residents and visitors to join in this traditional event that symbolises the Christmas spirit of Mojácar. The Municipal Nativity Scene is one of the most representative elements of this season, fostering unity and community participation.
The inauguration of the Nativity Scene makes up part of the Mojácar, 2025 Christmas Lights Switch-on programme, which includes a Christmas market, special illuminations, music, children's activities, zambombas, and different cultural initiatives throughout the month.
