Vigente.

Mojácar Council has hired eight young people from the municipality as part of the “ACTIVA-T Joven” programme, an initiative designed to promote the employment of unemployed young people in the local area.

This action, implemented under the Order of 30th of September, 2025 (Official Bulletin of the Andalucian Regional Government, No. 193, 7th of October, 2025), has provided for offering job opportunities to young people between the ages of 18 and 29.

The beneficiaries, registered as unemployed job seekers with the Andalucian Employment Service and the National Youth Guarantee System, will have six-month, full-time contracts, thereby helping them to gain professional experience and improve their employability.

The Mayor of Mojácar, Francisco García Cerdá, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating that “this programme represents a real opportunity for our young people and reinforces Mojácar Council’s commitment to employment and the future of the municipality.”

Mojácar Council views very positively the implementation of this programme, which contributes to local socioeconomic development and to keeping young people in the municipality.

The council reaffirms its commitment to the creation of job opportunities and the implementation of active employment policies that promote the integration of the most vulnerable groups into the workforce.
